Description
The ACT SB9-HDG6 kit features ACT’s proven Heavy Duty pressure plate, engineered for increased clamp load, reduced deflection, and maximum clutch life. Each diaphragm spring undergoes ACT’s exclusive four-stage heat-treating process for consistent performance and durability, while precision cover stampings ensure rigidity and reliability.
The 6-pad, spring-centered race disc uses a spring-center construction that effectively dampens torsional vibrations and resists failure under high-stress conditions. Reinforced spring retainers with wraparound windows and thicker stampings improve strength and longevity. This configuration provides faster shifting and improved heat dissipation, though with a more aggressive engagement feel — ideal for high-power street or race setups.
The included Monoloc upgrade replaces the standard two-piece wedge collar and wire ring found in pull-type clutches. Its hardened chrome-moly steel construction and carefully tuned retaining ring deliver uniform bearing load and improved alignment under demanding conditions, greatly extending the life of the release mechanism.
